We are an Australian owned and operated company with established offices in 5 states that specialise in Commercial Building engineering consultancy services in: mechanical, fire, hydraulic and electrical. Focusing on Greenfield & Brownfield projects across, Government, high / low rise, health, leisure, education, retail and commercial developments on a national scale through-out Australia and internationally.
This is a crucial role within our company and will suit an experienced and future focussed, degree qualified Hydraulics Engineer. This role will be a highly autonomous in decision making, leading a small dedicated team, a strong base salary with un-capped bonus potential and opportunity to build this division nationally.
Basic scope of Role: (outline but not limited to)
“Hands on” Design in all “wet & dry” building services Hydraulics requirements.
360-degree project involvement
Full client facing role
Tendering / pricing / negotiation / presentations
Business development (existing & new)
Mentoring junior staff
Assist in design for in ground services for fire hydrant and hose reels.
Design sewer system for commercial / industrial building.
Design domestic water supply services and reticulation for industrial building.
Storm water quality management plans, review, design and implement
Experience flood studies, drainage investigations, water quality modelling and hydrological/hydraulic models. (all desirable)
Your "outside the box" thinking and experience will be a huge asset in this role along with the ability to establish strong relationships with Clients and all internal company divisions (nationally).

Skills and experience required:
Have at least 5 years' experience as a Hydraulic Engineer in the Australian building services sector.
Have knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Building Codes.
Have a successful record of delivery hydraulic engineering solutions for commercial, retail projects.
Be a team player willing to work within a collaborative environment.
Be enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a passion to learn.
Have an eye for detail and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Degree qualified Hydraulics Engineer
Hold current QBCC certification
RPEQ (highly desirable)
Have the qualification or, alternatively, be working towards achieving the accreditation of Chartered Member of Engineers Australia.
